Los hermanos Sánchez están de vuelta con un nuevo trabajo, tras su estupendo primer álbum "The morning after the night before" editado en el 2013 por los sellos extremeños Sweet Grooves Records y Sunny Day Records, todo un dictado de power pop que los puso en el radar de los medios musicales del país, y publicar un single autoeditado "Charlie, be good!" en el año 2015, ya con nueva formación y un pequeño cambio de nombre "HAPPY NEW YEAR & 3 AM, ahora en 2018 nos presentan “Mixed Babies” (2018), un disco mucho más maduro, donde se alejan de los sonidos más crudos y adoptan gamas más cálidas y acústicas. La instrumentación y las voces son mucho más coloristas en este disco, acercándose así a propuestas más clásicas del sonido americano de los 60 y 70: guitarras de doce cuerdas, mandolinas, violines y vientos conviven con lo eléctrico en enorme sintonía. En “Mixed Babies”, encontraremos influencias de The Byrds, The Beatles, America, Bowie, Big Star… El álbum está producido por el músico y productor Gecko Turner y ha sido grabado en Silence Studios. En este disco aparece también la primera canción de la banda escrita en castellano.

El disco está publicado en formato vinilo por Sweet Grooves records, Hurrah! Música y Bartolini records. La edición en CD corre a cargo de Lucinda records.
